Turned around the Aquatic Centre
Cut the Hobart Aquatic Centre's annual losses by around $1 million, with the centre now working towards break-even.
Hobart must once again lead as Tasmania’s capital — economically strong, culturally confident and united by leadership worthy of our city.

Hobart should be a city where people can build a business, raise a family, enjoy our arts and culture, move around safely, and feel that the city is working for them.
Keeping rates affordable and our streets safer, cleaner and better maintained — practical leadership on the things that matter every day.

Born and raised in Hobart, Louise has spent her life serving this city. An accountant, she has run her firm, Bloomfield & Associates, for over twenty-eight years — bringing real expertise in finance, governance and the challenges facing local business.
After three years as an Alderman, she is running for Lord Mayor to bring calm, financially-literate leadership to Council — and to build a Hobart that respects its heritage, plans wisely for the future, and leaves no one behind.
Three years on Council, and real outcomes to show for it. A few of the wins Louise is most proud of:
Cut the Hobart Aquatic Centre's annual losses by around $1 million, with the centre now working towards break-even.
Won Council support for the Beacon Foundation and protected YouthARC from defunding.
Better stallholder contracts, and 15 years of wrongly charged stamp duty recovered.
Established a new community safety liaison team with Tasmania Police.
Louise has a rare ability to listen and assess each situation on its merits, always taking context into account.
She brings a level-headed and financially astute approach to decision-making.
As a councillor, Louise is active in the community and willing to listen to differing opinions.
You are one of the few Elected Members who gives time and responded to our requests to meet.
